"After years of reading the writing of Dave Marsh in Creem and Rolling Stone, I finally met Dave in 1996 at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's Tribute to Woody Guthrie. We became fast friends and colleagues and he has been a champion of many singer songwriters who play the Blue Door regularly. But that is not why we are celebrating this great writer. It's because of the passion and honesty he brings to whatever he is revealing to us. We are gonna celebrate this with a show that highlights some of his writing and includes songs that Dave loved and wrote about. Joining us will be Danny Alexander, who with Daniel Wolff, compiled this great collection. Terry Buffalo Ware and Andy Adams and others will also be on hand for some music and we all will talk about how Dave Marsh has informed our work in music."
