The Eli Young Band is a celebrated American country music group formed in 2000 at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. Known for their heartland rock and Texas country roots, the band consists of Mike Eli (lead vocals, guitar), James Young (guitar), Jon Jones (bass), and Chris Thompson (drums).
The band rose from local Texas favorites to Nashville mainstays. Their breakthrough came with their 2011 major-label album Life at Best, which yielded the massive, multi-platinum number-one hits "Crazy Girl" (which won ACM Song of the Year) and "Even If It Breaks Your Heart" (which earned a Grammy Award nomination).
