A Magic Murder Mystery Show
Magic. Comedy. Murder.
The night before Halloween, Murder at the Ritz returns to Shawnee for an all-new evening of impossible magic, sketch comedy, improv, and a murder mystery that will unfold live on stage with the help of the audience.
The evening begins with two distinctly different journeys into the strange and impossible.
Solomon Strange takes the stage with his signature Halloween magic, followed by comedy magician John Shack, fresh off headlining the Oklahoma City Civic Center with his show Trust Issues, for a spooky set filled with comedy, magic, and things that probably shouldn't be attempted this close to Halloween.
Then the evening takes a deadly turn.
John and Solomon join forces with Schmancy Pants, the acclaimed sketch comedy group and recent runner-up for Best Performing Arts Group in Oklahoma Gazette's Best of OKC, finishing behind only the OKC Ballet and OKC Philharmonic.
Together, they'll create an interactive comedy, magic, and improv murder mystery where members of the audience become characters in the story.
And here's the fun part:
You create the characters.
Come with a character already in mind or invent one when you arrive. Give yourself a ridiculous name, an outrageous personality, a questionable occupation, a suspicious backstory, or all of the above. If you're selected to join the action, you may find yourself interrogated, implicated, or standing suspiciously close to a murder.
The performers will guide the story, but once the audience gets involved, anything can happen.
Come in costume.
Create a character.
Play along as much or as little as you'd like.
And see if you can solve Murder at the Ritz.
VIP EXPERIENCE
The mystery may end, but the magic doesn't.
VIP ticket holders are invited to stay after the main show for an exclusive close-up magic performance, featuring intimate sleight-of-hand and impossible magic performed just a few feet away.
