Nathaniel Talbot began learning piano at age seven, started a punk rock band at thirteen, and quickly thereafter began steeping himself in guitar-driven sounds of Kelly Joe Phelps, Elliott Smith, Bill Frisell and other Pacific Northwest heroes.
"Talbot pushes our understanding of ourselves through the intensity of his songcraft." - No Depression
It's a challenge for Talbot to not only pursue his music, but to run an organic vegetable farm and seed company on Whidbey Island. With a full band, and a broader, more experimental sonic palette, his newest album "The Fabric and the Weave" never ventures too far from the grounding force of Talbot's clear voice, affecting storytelling and distinctive guitar lines. For this Port Townsend show, Talbot will be joined by bassist Keegan Harshman and Mickey Grimm on drums.
