NCom Film Club's Deadly Christmas Month! Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984): A man named Billy Chapman who, after witnessing his parents' brutal murder by a man in a Santa suit, is traumatized by an abusive orphanage and its sadistic nuns. When he grows up and is forced to dress as Santa for a job, his past trauma leads him to go on a yuletide killing spree, punishing the "naughty" with an axe. The film is known for its controversial premise of a killer Santa and its blend of holiday cheer and graphic violence. Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 (1987): Ricky Caldwell, brother of the killer in the first film, is released from a mental institution and begins a new killing spree. While recounting his past and his brother's trauma to a psychiatrist, he escapes and murders a Salvation Army Santa. He then embarks on a mission of revenge against Mother Superior, eventually succeeding where his brother failed. Films start at 7pm. Free and open to the public with a small purchase from our snack bar. We have plenty of seating or feel free to bring your own.
