NCom Film Club presents Godzilla Double Features Month! First, Godzilla Vs. Monster Zero (1970), astronauts from Earth discover a new planet, Planet X, beyond Jupiter. They encounter the Xiliens, who claim to be tormented by King Ghidorah (Monster Zero) and request to borrow Godzilla and Rodan to fight it off, promising a cure for all diseases in return. The Earth agrees, but the Xiliens' true intentions are far more sinister. Second, Godzilla's Revenge (1971), our film follows Ichiro Miki, a young boy living in a polluted urban area who is frequently bullied. To escape his loneliness and the bullying, Ichiro escapes into dreams where he visits Monster Island and befriends Godzilla's son, Minilla. While on Monster Island, Ichiro witnesses Minilla being bullied by Gabara, a monster who mirrors Ichiro's real-life tormentor. Through these dream encounters, Ichiro learns to confront his fears and stand up to his bullies in the real world. Film starts at 7pm. Free and open to the public with a small purchase from our snack bar. We have plenty of seating or feel free to bring your own.
