NCom Film Club presents Marx Brothers Triple Features Month! First, New Yorkers "Rusty" Panello and his brother, Joe, cheat S. Quentin Quale out of some money, enough to buy themselves a train trip out West. All three soon find themselves involved in a feud between the Turner and Wilson clans, and two crooked land promoters. In order to help two lovers marry, Quale and the Panello brothers pursue the crooks on an eastbound train in a madcap race for justice. Second, Private detectives Wolf J. Flywheel, Wacky and Ravelli are hired by the officious Martha Phelps, co-owner of the Phelps Department Store. Her beloved nephew, Tommy, has been assaulted, shortly after he announced plans to sell his share of the store. Unbeknownst to Martha, the culprit is her fiancé, sleazy store manager Mr. Grover, who wants Tommy dead before the sale exposes his years of fraud and theft. Third, Ronald Kornblow takes over as the manager of a luxurious hotel in Casablanca, in the aftermath of World War II. After discovering that both of his predecessors had been murdered, Kornblow begins to fear for his safety -- especially when Nazi Count Pfefferman tries to take over Kornblow's job in a bid to get his hands on valuable items that were stashed in the hotel by the Nazis at the tail end of the war. Films start at 7pm. Free and open to the public with a small purchase from our snack bar. We have plenty of seating or feel free to bring your own.
